Owners and Directors Heather Corrie-Jackson and Andrew Jackson
Both have a regulated background having had very successful and longstanding careers with a Bank, Heather as a Regional Manager and Andy as a Financial Wealth Manager.Heather and Andy have a son Jack who up until 2014 attended the nursery. Heather and Andy work in the Nursery Daily, with Heather overseeing all personnel, Health and safety and the general management of the nursery, and Andy manages fees and accounts. Both hold paediatric 1st aid, food hygiene and level 1 safeguarding.
Nursery Manager Karen Harwood

Karen is a mum of 2 very busy boys, she has been working with children for over 20 years and as well as working across a number of different nurseries and settings she has been with us since we opened working her way up to the manager’s position. Karen enjoys spending time with her family. Karen supports Joanne with the role or the SENDCO and is also our Designated Safeguarding Leads.
Nursery Deputy Under 2s Joanne Mottershead
Joanne is a mum of two and Nanna of 2, with one of her grandchildren attending the nursery she has been working with children in early years for over 30 years she has worked in a range of settings and has a wealth of experience. She enjoys spending time with her family and walking her dog. Her skills and knowledge enable her to take the role of our SENDCO and Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Nursery Deputy Over 2’s James Goodlad
James has worked with children for over 5 years and holds a degree in Early Years, he has worked across several age groups in a range of nursery settings. He has been a manager and deputy previously and has helped support another setting to achieve a good Ofsted rating. James enjoys long weekend walks with his fluffy dog Alfie. His skills and knowledge enable him to support the team in the toddler and Preschool room where he is based and he also supports as one of the nursery Designated Safeguarding Leads.
At Kingfisher Day Nursery Didsbury all our rooms have a Room Supervisor who with the support of their deputy over sees the general running and routines with in each room. Supporting their room team to provide a safe, hygienic and stimulating environment for our children, allowing them to explore, learn, develop and grow.
