Owners and Directors Heather Corrie-Jackson and Andrew Jackson

Both have a regulated background having had very successful and longstanding careers with a Bank, Heather as a Regional Manager and Andy as a Financial Wealth Manager.Heather and Andy have a son Jack who up until 2014 attended the nursery. Heather and Andy work in the Nursery Daily, with Heather overseeing all personnel, Health and safety and the general management of the nursery, and Andy manages fees and accounts. Both hold paediatric 1st aid, food hygiene and level 1 safeguarding.

Nursery Manager Helena Stubbings

Helena has worked in early years since 2004 and is an early years teacher with over 10 years management experience. She has a daughter and loves going on walks with her dog, Gucci.

Nursery Deputy Joanne Mottershead

Joanne is a mum of two and Nanna of 3, with two of her grandchildren previously attending the nursery she has been working with children in early years for over 30 years she has worked in a range of settings and has a wealth of experience. She enjoys spending time with her family and walking her dog. Her skills and knowledge enable her to take the role of our SENDCO and Designated Safeguarding Lead. Joanne is also supporting our baby floor working with staff and helping to settle in all new babies.

Nursery Third In Charge Jenny Bedford

Jenny has worked her way up the nursery ladder, she holds a degree in early years and has been with us since 2019. She is currently in charge of our Pre-School floor supporting the children. She is supporting Helena to develop our parent dojo. Jenny has worked across the nursery starting in our toddler room and then supporting our baby rooms but has found her passion in the pre-school room.

At Kingfisher Day Nursery Didsbury all our rooms have a Room Supervisor who with the support of their deputy over sees the general running and routines with in each room. Supporting their room team to provide a safe, hygienic and stimulating environment for our children, allowing them to explore, learn, develop and grow.

Latest News

All our children have been busy having lots of fun and enjoying lots of different activites with all our satff & also with our extra curricular activites including, Spanish with Kids Lingo, Rhyme Time & Singing with Jo Jingles & Sports Coaching with Ultimate Kids.

We like all our children to get out and about in the local community taking trips to The Park, The Library, Local Shops, Trips On The Bus, Walks To The Tram Stop To See The Trams, The Local Fire Station.

Even in the rain our children have put on there water proofs and enjoyed lots of outdoor play splashing in puddles and making mud pies in our outdoor mud kitchen.

We are looking forward to some parent events where our parents can come in and enjoy some activities with their children, these parent events will be for all children in all our rooms. We aim to have parent events every 3-4 months.
